Foundation B

G’Day to the Sirius College community,

Foundation B have made an excellent transition to Term Two after the break. It’s been very beneficial to have caught up with parents in regards to their child’s progress during parent-teacher interview week.

In Term Two, we will continue to focus on our key learning areas through classroom tasks and activities. For Integrated Studies: Personal and Family Histories we are learning about ourselves as we grow and change and the diverse families we all come from. This unit incorporates the understanding of differences and similarities with each other and, how families were in the past and how they are today…

As we reach mid-term, the Foundation students will complete topic assessments and reading running records. Some students are making excellent progress with recognition of the high frequency sight words, which will enable them to read with more accuracy.

Now that it is rather cold, please ensure your child has his/her school jacket each day for outdoor times.
